Linux: Freedom on Linux Song
verfasst von oencke am Sonntag, 18. November 2007 (1973 Aufrufe)
If you read the lyrics of the song "Looking for Freedom" with an imaginative mindset you could find that it could have been written by a windows developer trying to escape the control of and dependance on MS.
I have rewritten the text to reflect those who are using Linux and Open Source.
Have a go at it:
Freedom on Linux
One night in September a long time ago
It was born a students pet
It had even more than money could buy
freedom and copyleft
We are running on Linux
We've been running so long
We are running on Linux
Hacking on and on
We are running on Linux
We don't care about FUD
We are running on Linux
And we won't be stopped
We're running without risk, free software on the disk
We're leaving Windows far behind
Sharing with our friends, the latest Linux trends
Enjoying our peace of mind
MS said you'll be sorry, devs,
If you're 'gnoring patents this way
And when you realize the lawsuits money buys
You'll come running back some day
We are running on Linux
We've been running so long
We are running on Linux
Hacking on and on
We are running on Linux
We don't care about FUD
We are running on Linux
And we won't be stopped
We paid a lotta dues, had plenty to lose
Promoting our ODF
Evangelized, to get the votings right
Hoping parties won't be bribed deaf
We bet it will run for many years to come
Just gaining more in usershare
And Linus will find with Stallman anytime
That everyone's on free software
We are running on Linux
We've been running so long
We are running on Linux
Hacking on and on
We are running on Linux
We don't care about FUD
We are running on Linux
And we won't be stopped
...
